Sharing of reward

Given our confidence in the long-term benefits that we can bring to a business, while we are willing to work on standard consulting terms, we prefer to agree performance or success based fee arrangements.

We believe that successful business development should not begin with an increase in fixed costs, but should be based on sharing of the benefits obtained.

Achievement of your goals

We recognise that the key success indicators will vary between businesses and according to the interest and desires of the key stakeholders in the business.

We believe in working with our clients to help them realise those measures of success that are most important to them, whether that be development of long-term sustainable business growth, entry to a particular market, or realisation of a business asset.

Our participation in the process

Our role may range from a consulting assignment to address one particular area already identified by the stakeholders in the business, to a more wide-ranging review of a business, its potential, and the opportunities to achieve a step change in its performance with subsequent assistance in implementation.

Fundamental to our approach is our belief that our role does not necessarily end with a list of recommendations or advice.

Business development begins with identification of issues, risks and opportunities, and agreement of priorities and potential action plans. But identification of a solution is of itself not enough to generate value. It must be accompanied by effective and timely implementation.

Where difficult decisions need to be taken, implemented and explained we are ready to participate throughout the process, helping to minimise the longer-term impact on relationships between the different stakeholders in the business. This involvement and assistance may take the form of consulting in particular areas, or it may involve one of our consultants taking a more executive role in the business for an agreed period of time to take personal responsibility for the successful implementation of the agreed action plan.
